Asset Search

An asset search is an investigation process used to locate and identify the assets or property owned by an individual or a business entity. The purpose of an asset search can vary, but it is commonly used in legal and financial contexts to support various types of legal cases, such as divorce proceedings, civil lawsuits, or debt collection efforts.

During an asset search, investigators use a variety of methods and tools to gather information about an individual's or entity's financial history, including public records searches, credit reports, bank and brokerage account records, real estate and property ownership records, and other financial documents. The goal is to provide a comprehensive picture of the subject's financial situation, including assets, liabilities, and any potential fraud or hidden assets.
